Smarter Heat. Less Energy. Better Design.

About this Concept

This concept rethinks the everyday kettle by focusing on what matters most: efficiency.

Through improved insulation and a vacuum-sealed design, heat is retained for longer, reducing the need to reboil water and lowering overall energy use.

Combined with simple features like adjustable timing and temperature control, the kettle is designed to adapt to modern energy patterns, helping users make smarter and more cost-efficient choices in their daily routines.

My Aspiration
Behind the Idea

As a student, small costs add up quickly. Being half English and a regular tea and coffee drinker, boiling the kettle became a daily habit, but also a recurring frustration. Watching electricity costs stack up, especially when reheating water just a few hours later, made me question why such a simple appliance was so inefficient.

That’s where this idea began.

The aspiration is to rethink the everyday kettle by reducing unnecessary energy use. Through improved insulation and a vacuum-sealed design, heat can be retained for longer, minimising the need to reboil and helping lower everyday electricity costs.

With added control over timing and temperature, the goal is to give users more flexibility in how and when they use energy, making something as routine as boiling water more efficient and cost-conscious.

At its core, this is about improving a daily essential, so it works better for people who rely on it the most.
